Bee Board is a low-cost CPU board based on the popular Atmega328 microcontroller and created by collaboration between Madefree and Acmesystems. Bee is compatible with the popular Arduino’s dev tools. The main difference with the other Arduino clones is that the Bee Board adopts the Daisy solderless fast prototyping system instead of the Arduino's shield form factor.

Daisy System

Daisy is tiny-modules costellation conceived by Acme Systems to make fast prototyping of your Linux embedded application, with real life on-field interfaces without using the soldering iron.

For who need to make a concept prototype of his embedded device quickly, Acme Systems has conceived a wide set of tiny modules wireable together without any welding whatsoever called Daisy. A rich set of in-field interfaces like RS232, RS485, RS422, Relay, led, GPIO, display, GPRS modem etc. are already available and many more are coming daily.

New modules become available day-by-day thanks to the effort of a growing group of enthusiat freelance designers which creates new devices following the Acme Systems building guideline and quality standard

That's is the origin of its name: The Bees fly on the Daises
